“Cal Newport has discovered a cure for the techno-exhaustion that plagues our always-on, digitally caffeinated culture.”
—Joshua Fields Millburn, The Minimalists
Join us for a discussion on how we can incorporate digital minimalism in practical ways that fit our lifestyle perfectly!
We will explore ideas to help us cultivate a sustainable digital minimalist lifestyle, including the importance of solitude, the necessity of cultivating high-quality leisure to replace mindless browsing and joining the attention resistance movement.
“Rethink your online life. Rediscover the pleasures of the offline world.”
Toronto’s Digital Minimalism is a group for digital minimalists, and individuals interested in practicing digital minimalism. Using Cal Newport’s definition, digital minimalism is a philosophy of technology use in which you focus your online time on a small number of carefully selected and optimized activities that strongly support things you value, and then happily miss out on everything else.
We hope to create a space for likeminded individuals to meet and exchange ideas to radically transforming their digital lives!
